Sick little girl

I had to fight Maddie to get her down for a nap but I thought it was because I put her down a little early. When she woke up a half hour later I groaned...she needed more sleep. I picked her up and immediately felt why she was awake....She was burning up!!! Her temp was over 101 degrees and hour later while waiting for the advice nurse to call (who knows whats safe to give them anymore) her temp shot up to over 103 and then Maddie and I were covered. That's right she vomited a lot!! The nurse finally called and I got Tylenol in her. Within a few hours her temp was down and she was my baby again. I was erring on the side of caution though. And at 1:30 Maddie woke me with a temp of 104. She's back to normal now but I wonder for how long. Needless to say we are staying home from church! I'm so disappointed now that shes sleeping better and I've got her napping around 1 I thought we'd be able to start going to church on a regular basis and then this happens. I guess there's always next week!

Our little Artist

Last Saturday Maddie started an class called "Art Babies" in Portland at the Pennisula Park Community Center. We signed up with some of our friends from our mom's group. Last week the kids did finger painting (which Maddie hated, Water colors (she hated this to), Coloring(didn't hate this as much), and gluing strips of paper to a page(not so much her thing). This week I made sure to get there early so she could maybe adjust a little to her surroundings. She was totaly into the truck in the paint driving on the paper but as more people showed up the less Maddie cared about the projects. I'm hopefully she will soon find her inner artist...I just hope it's not on my walls:)
